COMPANY A 58 - TR - CAMP FANNIN, TEXAS.
Men who stood beside MY Father in WORLD WAR II.
And the same men who battled the cold waters of the
English Channel the night of December 24th 1944 on
Troopship S.S. Leopoldville.
Memorial Day means a lot of things to different people.
For those of us who are interested in history, it is a day
of remembering those who have lost their lives during
the course of the many wars our nation has endured.
There are so many who have died to maintain our
freedoms, as we know them today. Some of us have
forgotten wars of long ago, and that American ideals
were fought for from the beginnings of this country.
We do not know all of the names, nor the faces of those
we have lost to war, but they were someones father,
brother, uncle, son, and they have given the ultimate
sacrifice of their own life for the pursuit of American
Liberty. Some of the men who died in service are
same men who once stood beside your veteran
ancestor in wartime conflicts.
We need to remember those men and women that
have served our country and respect what they have
done for our nation, and everyone of us, this Memorial Day.
This Memorial Day my hand is over my heart for all
who have served our country.
